Dear friends and family,
As most of you will know I am moving to Watford at the end of October to do an internship at a church there. It is a leadership internship focusing on six areas: Feet-washing, Listening, Serving, Encouraging, ‘Submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ’ and developing your character. The course is partly academic and partly hands-on. I’ll be spending 3-4 days a week working with a specific team, I.E youthwork, and two days doing theology and looking deeper into our faith and the bible.
I have wanted to do this course for quite a while now and was delighted when I was given an interview back in May and was accepted that same week. I was elated and since then have been making plans for the big move to Watford. Watford is a town to the north of London. It is inside the m25 so has good rail links and everything I need is within cycling distance.
Since September 09 I have been working at Argos (woop! woop!) this has allowed me to pay off the course, accommodation and house bills for the year. I have also saved a little money for the course. I would really appreciate your being in your prayers, specifically in these first few months – That I would make new friends and feel comfortable in my new home, that I would not miss you guys too much! And that through this I would grow in maturity as a Christian.
You have all been such a blessing to me over the years,
