So this is the first blog from me, Ben
In this blogger I am aiming to share my experiences, photos and what God has been talking to me on wrapped in a small amount of teaching...
What a privilege it is to have great resources like blogs and the Internet and stuff to strengthen, encourage and build us. It does make me wonder about how the early church was able to have such driving force and stability without being able to really connect with people outside of their settlements, the only ways of transferring information was via messenger or letter which must have taken months to get the information and yet, within 100 years from Jesus' Resurrection most of the roman empire had heard about him and his life. This really thrills and encourages me. A spread that quick is just not natural. The Holy Spirit must have been so crucial to that first generation of Churches growth and well being. So why isn't the holy spirit so active today?
I believe that these first few churches can teach us a great deal about how to live our life for Jesus and how our Churches should or shouldn't be functioning.
